Northwest Passage Dance Camp - 2018

Northwest Passage Dance Camp Registration

Registration is now open! Use our online registration form to submit your registration request (and optionally pay at the same time).

Meanwhile, here are some of the particulars...

Facility
Mt. Hood Kiwanis Camp, an hour east of Portland near Rhododendron, OR, features a large wooden dance floor in the main lodge, other spaces for workshops and jamming, and a variety of housing options. You can save $20 on registration by providing your own tent, RV or nearby motel room, or using one of the shared "platform tent" spaces at camp. See accomodations for more details.

Community
A dance camp is a community creation where campers dance, eat, and commune with each other in a collective setting.  It couldn't take place without the generous contribution of time and energy by all.  We ask that campers volunteer for two or more "chores" during the weekend, so that Northwest Passage will continue to be a rich and joyous experience for all.  There will be camper chore sign ups sheets near the entrance to Fanning Hall when you check in.  Thank you in advance for pitching in!

Food
Back by popular demand, Beth Gibans will provide us with delicious meals.  There will be options for both carnivores and vegetarians. Beth will make reasonable efforts to satisfy special dietary needs if advance notice is provided.  Note: we do NOT provide dinner on Friday night, so eat before you arrive, or please bring something for yourself.

If You Must Cancel
Your fee, less $35, will be refunded if you let us know by Aug 7th.  After Aug 7th your full fee will be retained if we cannot find a replacement camper.  Please do not find your own replacement.

PCDC Grants
All members of PCDC may be eligible for a $100 grant. See details the application form on the PCDC website.

Registration Deadlines
Registration requests are processed on a first-come-first-serve based on when payment is received.  If camp fills, applications will be put on a waiting list and payments refunded if registration request not accepted.  Submit your registration request (and payment) by June 27 in order to qualify for our "early bird" discounts.

Work-Trade Positions
All campers are expected to sign up for simple volunteer "chore" tasks. In addition, a very limited number of work-trade positions are available for people helping out with more essential camp jobs. Work-traders receive a $75 discount off their camp fee. If you are interested email us for more information.

Payment
This year we offer online payment using PayPal as part of the registration process. Of course, you can continue to pay your registration(s) by mailing a check or setting up a transfer from your checking account using your bank's electronic bill paying.
